Climate Change: A Growing Crisis
Climate change is one of the biggest problems facing the world today. Extreme weather, rising sea levels, and an increase in atmospheric temperatures have all been linked to the worldwide increase in greenhouse gas emissions. The impacts of climate change are real and occurring already in many parts of the planet, leading to economic disruption, health risks, and global security concerns.
Scientists have been raising the alarm on the risk of climate change for decades. However, recent advances in technology, science, and public awareness have made it much more clear just how dangerous the effects of climate change will be. Sea levels are projected to rise by at least half a meter by 2100, putting hundreds of millions worldwide at risk.
